Magneti Marelli to Add Insequence’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to Saltillo, Mexico Facility

Insequence Corporation has been selected by Magneti Marelli to supply them with complete cradle to grave manufacturing infrastructural software. The Sequential Part Delivery (SPD) Pro software will be installed in Magneti Marelli’s facility located in Saltillo, Mexico.
Sequential Parts Delivery (SPD) is the process of delivering parts to an assembly plant in an exact order, or sequence. Due to the materials arriving at the manufacturing facility within hours of use, automotive suppliers and OEMs reduce their inventory levels. This also eliminates expenses and damage risk of stocking and pulling materials. Thus allowing automotive part supply and assembly businesses to compete at the next level.
Insequence is a provider of software capable of performing this function. Magneti Marelli’s Saltillo facility has already implemented Insequence’s sequencing software in the past. Consequently, they are now choosing to move forward with the installation of Insequece’s most complex yet highly efficient and useful module, the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
The many functions and capabilities of the SPD Pro MES module creates a unique system. Due to this functionality, the system allows suppliers to tailor it specifically to their requirements at any time. Coordinating and synchronizing people, processes, equipment, and assemblies, MES displays step-by-step instructions for operators at each workstation, error proofs each step, interfaces with assembly line machinery as needed, and provides complete “cradle to grave” traceability.
