Insequence Providing SPD Pro to Houston-Johnson Inc. (HJI) for Load Management
Houston-Johnson Inc. will be supply commodities to Ford requiring a sequencing solution.
Houston-Johnson Inc. will be implementing sequencing software for their facility in Louisville, Kentucky to be provided by Insequence Corporation.
Sequential Parts Delivery (SPD) is the process of delivering automotive parts to an assembly plant in the exact order, or sequence, in which the vehicle that need them are being assembled on the production line. having the materials arrive at the manufacturing facility within hours of use thereby crating zero standing inventory and eliminating the expense and damage risk of stocking and pulling materials. This allows automotive part supply and assembly businesses to compete at the next level.
The SPD Pro Host module will be the first implemented in HJI’s facility. It is designed to support all communication between supplier and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) broadcasting system. Houston-Johnson will be supplying commodities for Ford, they will receive the host module specifically designed for Ford suppliers, the SPD Pro Ford ILVS Host module. This software verifies data accuracy, then parses or translates the data into a format usable by the SPD Pro system. The “Load Manager” module can then access this data in a table.
The SPD Pro Load Management module organizes the data into virtual loads, also known as containers or racks, and assigns a unique ID to each load for traceability. Queues are then created automatically that are made available to the next step in the picking and/or manufacturing process.
