Insequence Providing Sequencing and Inventory Management System Software to Kace Logistics’ New Detroit Facility

Kace Logistics has once again selected Insequence Corporation to provide their new Detroit facility with Insequence’s SPD Pro Inventory Management System (IMS) and their SPD Pro Sequential Parts Delivery software for sequencing.
Sequential Parts Delivery (SPD) is the process of delivering commodities to an assembly plant in an exact order, or sequence. Having the materials arrive at the manufacturing facility within hours of use thereby creates zero standing inventory. This also eliminates the expense and damage risk of stocking and pulling materials. Due to this process automotive part supply and assembly businesses can compete at the next level.
In addition to the necessary software modules for sequencing, Kace Logistics will utilize the module for shipping. This module will manage the shipping process by setting up trailer loading patterns in BOL. During loading, racks are scan verified to insure that they are in the correct order. After a truck loaded correctly, the BOL prints.
Inventory Management System
The intricate process of managing and keeping track of inventory is a daunting task. Even further organizational tactics are required when delegating which inventory should be stored, shipped, or manufactured. With Insequence’s IMS software, upon truck arrival racks, containers, and/or boxes are scanned for confirmation. The software directs operators to where items should be stored. Additional features include the software’s ability to keep track of items within the containers and not just the container itself. Allowing extra levels of tracking no available in other inventory management systems.
Kace Logistics will begin sequencing and inventory operations at their new facility in January, 2013. This facility will also be sequencing commodities currently sequenced at Kace’s Highland Park facility by June 2013.
