Detroit Manufacturing Systems to Implement Insequence Solutions
Sequencing and MES manages the entire build process in sequence with remarkable efficiency.
Insequence announces they are embarking further into their business relationship with Detroit Manufacturing Systems (DMS), with the installation of the SPD Pro Sequential Part Delivery and Manufacturing Execution System (MES). DMS will use the the software in their Detroit, MI facility that will supply Instrument Panels for the Ford P415 program.
The many functions and capabilities of the SPD Pro MES module creates a unique system. Due to this functionality, the system allows suppliers to tailor it specifically to their requirements at any time. Coordinating and synchronizing people, processes, equipment, and assemblies, MES displays step-by-step instructions for operators at each workstation. MES also error proofs each step, interfaces with assembly line machinery as needed, and provides complete “cradle to grave” traceability.
DMS will include SPD Pro software in additional workstations for sequence rack loading, shipping, and rework. The Rack Loading (MRL) module identifies and dictates which racks and slot positions parts belong in, post assembly line. This module then verifies parts and racks via scan and prints labels accordingly.
In the shipping area the SPD Pro Shipping module will manage the shipping process. Trailer loading patterns can be set up in Shipping, racks are scan verified to ensure that they are loaded correctly and the BOL will be printed.
