Mitchell Plastics to Utilize Insequence Solutions in Saltillo, Mexico Facility
Mitchell Plastics will utilize Insequence Solutions for sequencing and manufacturing in their Saltillo, Mexico facility. This location will supply floor consoles for two different vehicle platforms to FCA.
This will be the second implementation Mitchell Plastics has selected Insequence sequencing and manufacturing software solutions. In their first collaboration, Insequence supplied the same solutions to their Sterling Heights, Michigan facility. Sterling Heights required software to process MPAB, Modular Pay as Built, demand to supply center consoles to FCA whereas Saltillo will be receiving FCA’s PFCS demand. Since the Host module is what processes the demand from the OEM, Saltillo will be utilizing a different Host.
It is not uncommon to see an automotive OEM have multiple ways to provide demand to their suppliers. This requires suppliers to find a solutions provider with the flexibility and experience to adapt. Insequence, has experience with solutions for over 20 different automotive OEMs and their corresponding demand types, giving suppliers that flexibility.
Insequence will also supply the same interface used at Sterling Heights in the Saltillo facility to communicate BOL information to Mitchell Plastics ERP system.
