Yanfeng to deploy Insequence solutions for MES and Sequencing in their Riverside, Missouri facility

Sequencing and MES systems work collaboratively to build and deliver commodities “Just-in-Time”

Insequence will provide Yanfeng with their SPD Pro Sequential Part Delivery and Manufacturing Execution Systems. Yanfeng will be building door modules, instrument panels, and consoles which will be shipped in sequence to the GM Assembly Plant in Lenexa, Kansas.

It is becoming a basic business requirement for automotive suppliers to supply demand in sequence. Sequential Part Delivery (SPD) allows materials to arrive at the assembly plant within hours of use. This results in reduced inventory levels for both the supplier and the OEM.

Yanfeng will utilize Insequence’s SPD Pro system, which consists of five distinct software modules. The software will receive and validate the demand from GM before sending production requirements to the line. The applications will then communicate with each other in a specific order to accomplish a smooth sequencing, manufacturing, and shipping process.

Traceability is an increasing demand in the automotive parts production industry. Due to this demand, it has become imperative that automotive suppliers have systems available to them that can control and record each step of the manufacturing process. Yanfeng will employ the SPD Pro  Manufacturing Execution System to provide process control and error proofing. In addition, the entire manufacturing process is organised into individual step-by-step instructions to verify operator accuracy and provide complete traceability.
