The SPD Pro solution streamlines Sequential Part Delivery operation.

Sequential Part Delivery (SPD) has become a basic business requirement for the automotive part supply industry. This makes finding a trusted solutions provider essential. Since Plastic Omnium’s business relationship began with Insequence in 2010, they have implemented the Insequence SPD Pro software solution in several of their North American and European facilities. Now Plastic Omnium has been awarded two sequencing projects in Gliwice, Poland.

Sequential Part Delivery is the process of delivering automotive parts to an assembly plant in an exact order, or sequence. For automotive sequencing, this means delivering parts in the order of the vehicles on the assembly line. Plastic Omnium will supply commodities to GM/Opel in Gliwice and the VDL Nedcar in Born, Netherlands. They will use Insequence’s, SPD Pro Sequencing solution in both facilities to supply  bumpers and upper/lower rear spoilers

The SPD Pro solution, which is modular in format, will receive the demand from both VDL Nedcar and GM/Opel.  The software will receive and validate the demand from the OEM before sending production requirements to the line. The applications will then communicate with each other in a specific order to accomplish a smooth process, either build-in-sequence or just-in-sequence, depending on the commodity.
